About Me

Nancy Hurst, Registered Psychologist in Alberta

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.

I work with adults who long to connect faith, healing and wholeness. Those wanting to feel happier, less anxious, and more confident.

Who I am as a Person

I have great faith In a Loving source that I call God; I fully respect and work with diverse spiritual beliefs.
I am passionate about valuing all humans.
I am Imperfect, but do my best to be kind, compassionate and to see the best in people.
I am nourished by my connections with close friends.
I rejuvenate by walking and running in nature.
I love to be surrounded by my family and friends; I feel joyful when they thrive and my heart breaks when they hurt.
I have struggled, failed and got up again, just like you.

My faith has sustained me In many difficult times. Faith helps in maintaining a hopeful outlook and in persevering during hard life experiences.

I love seeing people get on track and make changes that make them happier, build better relationships, develop a career that feels on purpose and creates joy.

I love to see people get in touch with their greatness/divinity!

Who I am as a Therapist

I aim to create a safe, and accepting space.

Being a therapist is what I am meant to do; people feel relaxed and are able to open up to me.

I am gentle, but can be straightforward and direct.

I am especially good at getting down to the source of the problem, and guiding to a new way of seeing things.

I will aim to see the best in you even when you doubt yourself.

If you choose, we can delve into the original sources of your insecurities/struggles and identify healing strategies that can be practised at home.

I integrate several therapeutic modalities including EMDR, Psychodynamic, CBT, Hakomi and Somatic Experiencing.
